We had a fun weekend in Utah spent with family. We came down to support my brother and sister-in-law at events with their job.

I would have never imaginged meeting one of my favorite contestants from The Biggest Loser. Michelle looked great, and I didnt feel too bad eating lots of chocolate covered strawberries at dinner cause she was too!

Spence and Dawn were awesome on stage, and blew us out of the water with their amazing talent and public speaking.

day to celebrate

We've finally cut our diaper bill in half and are pretty extatic that Jackson is 99% potty trained!
He thinks he is such a "big boy" now and gets excited every time he goes "potty"

I can only imagine what 10 years from now is going to be like.

I have a big secret obsession with the Utah Jazz. They have always been my favorite team.
I know their names.
I know their numbers.
I even know some pretty good stats.
Last night they played the CAVS, and the amazing LeBron James. I went to an exercise class, so had it on DVR.
We didnt start watching the game till 10 pm.

Jazz were behind pretty much the whole game. 4th quarter was getting very intense. We finally got up by 10. Then somehow were behind again.
5 seconds left in the game.
Down by two.
We dribble the ball down the court.
3 seconds.
2 seconds.
1 second......the ball was in the hands of the Rookie, Gaines, who had only had his first basketball practice with the Jazz the DAY BEFORE.
From the 3 point line he shoots and HE SCORES!!!! BUZZER BEATER!!!
Not only was that his 1st 3 pointer in the NBA, but most likely the biggest shot of his career!
Tony and I SCREAMED so loud we woke up our kids and Jackson came running downstairs to see what was going on. It was hilarious.
Sometimes having the ESPN channel isn't too bad. :)

Kids in bed at 8, and I drive to ZUMBA.
An HOUR to let loose!

1 HOUR = 650 CALORIES BURNED
I'm HOOKED.

Have the Most Successful Year Ever

I'm always tempted at the start of the New Year to make many new goals. I try to pull off life-changing aspirations all at once and usually am disappointed when I don't see immediate results.
We did our annual FHE and did yearly goals as a family. The usual, save money, read our scriptures more, family night etc. These goals are all important but seem to go on my list every year.
So, this year I have committed and am focusing on ONE goal PER month. I think if I can commit to something for one month I will accomplish my goal.
When I accomplish an important goal each month I know it will motivate me to move toward my next DOABLE GOAL.

Starting January 1 I committed to exercising EVERYDAY for 30 days. 5 years ago on January 30th I ran my first 1/2 marathon.
This year on January 30th-5 years later I am going to run my 2nd 1/2 MARATHON.
To do this I know I need to focus on my goal to achieve it.

I encourage you to try one goal/per month and see how it works out. Sometimes aiming for smaller successes will give us a better reward!
Happy JANUARY and good luck with your New Years Resolutions!
